WORK ENVIRONMENT: On-Site at Trackless Vehicles Office (Courtland, Ontario)

TYPE: Full-time permanent: Monday to Thursday 8 am – 4:30 pm; Friday 8 am – 3 pm

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Trackless Vehicles is seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Manager to lead and oversee our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovative solutions and process improvements while ensuring successful project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
  • Develop and implement engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, operations, sales, and other departments.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable provincial and federal regulations.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to team development and training.
  • Participate in strategic planning and contribute to business growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist C.E.T.
  • Masters degree or P.ENG designation is a strong asset.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and teams effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with engineering and project management tools e.g. SolidWorks, Solid Edge.
  • Familiarity with Ontario’s occupational health and safety regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working within a mobile equipment manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Background in Lean manufacturing or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in hydraulic systems and testing
  • Experience in Multiplex(can-bus) & Electrical wiring system.
