Double Trip Plow

Winter can take a toll on sidewalks creating uneven surfaces and raised sections from frost heave. Trackless built the Double Trip Plow for municipalities with elevation differences that may result in plow tripping. The plow system trips the mouldboard 35° and the cutting edge 40°, protecting both the plow and the MT from damage when obstacles are encountered. The dual action trip system provides a smoother trip than conventional trip-edge plows and does not require the operator to stop or slow down for the mouldboard and cutting edge to return to the proper position. Because the mouldboard also trips part way, it allows for a greater angle on the cutting edge than a conventional trip edge plow. Adjustable trip springs allow you to modify the trip-edge tension.

Specifications

The Double Trip Plow is 60” long x 32” high. Compression springs are 5” in diameter.
High strength stress-proof steel pivot pins, hardened abrasion resistant steel skid shoes and a ½” x 6” cutting edge provide excellent wear life. The blade angles 30 degrees left and right, powered by two hydraulic cylinders. A retractable stand supports the push frame at the correct height for easy drive-in mounting. A switch on the outside of the cab moves the tractor lift cylinders into position for pinning up to the push frame. The operator can then apply down pressure. The overall weight is 685 pounds.
