5-Position Folding V-Plow

Since its introduction over 25 years ago, the Trackless heavy-duty 5-Position Plow has been our most popular plowing attachment. The 5-Position Folding V-Plow allows you to build flexibility into your sidewalk maintenance program by offering you the ability to choose between the simplicity of a straight blade, the speed of a V-Plow, the maneuverability of a scoop plow or any configuration in between. The scoop position is beneficial in areas such as bus stops and any other place where no snow can be left behind. Cleaning up windows is much faster when in the scoop position. The left and right wings are powered by independent hydraulic circuits allowing you to change your blade arrangement on the fly as plowing/snow conditions change. The wings can also be moved simultaneously, convenient for quickly switching to the scoop position to cross a driveway without leaving a window.

For those plowing in the V position, if the need arises to switch to an angle plow, such as when you are plowing close to a wall or an obstruction, move just one wing, and you now have an angle plow. Double-acting cylinders provide positive control of the mouldboard position when plowing forward or back-dragging. Down pressure can be applied. All adjustments of the plow wing positions are smooth and easy for the operator due to the joystick control. Replaceable hardened cutting edges can be changed easily without removing the 5-position Plow from the Trackless MT7 tractor.

Plow Tripping

The 5-Position Folding V-Plow is designed to be able to trip while in the blade position. The operator does not need to raise the plow, stop or slow down for the cutting edge to return to position. The tripping of this plow is also smoother than conventional cutting edge plows.
