Overgrown areas can cause problems for both safety and appearance. Tall grass, brush, and weeds can block sightlines or attract pests. These spaces often remain untouched because they’re too difficult to access with standard equipment. That’s where the Trackless MT7, paired with the right mower, makes a big difference.

Why You Should Tackle Overgrown Areas

When grass and weeds grow out of control, they create hazards. Drivers may not be able to see around corners, and green spaces may not be accessible for pedestrians. These overgrown areas can quickly look neglected.

By mowing regularly, municipalities can avoid complaints and prevent future problems, as regular maintenance improves the health of the turf and provides better access for future maintenance.

Trackless Front Flail Mower: Reliable for Roadside and Trail Work

The Front Flail Mower is designed to cut heavier grass, weeds, scrub, and light brush, allowing it to mow where a standard rotary mower cannot. Mounted to the front of the MT7, it gives operators excellent visibility.

A rubber safety skirt and enclosed mower housing help contain flying debris. This makes it safe to use near roads, trails, and busy public spaces. Large front gauge wheels, a full-width gauge roller, and a flexible push frame allow the mower to follow uneven terrain easily.

This 1,100-pound mower has 33 heavy-duty knives mounted on a PTO-driven rotor shaft. The knives can be re-sharpened without removal. Anti-wrap shields protect the rotor and roller bearings from damage. With a cutting width of 74″, this attachment was built for challenging work and is a strong option for maintaining overgrown areas.

Trackless Boom Flail: Reach the Unreachable

Some overgrown spaces are too steep, narrow, or awkward for a front-mounted mower: that’s where the Boom Flail Mower is most useful. Its long hydraulic arm reaches where other mowers can’t, while preserving operator visibility.

It is perfect for mowing ditches, steep slopes, stream banks, and over guardrails. The joystick-controlled boom provides smooth movement and excellent control. The Boom Flail Mower offers better visibility than side or rear-mount options, helping to reduce operator fatigue and improve safety.

The Boom Flail cuts tall grass, weeds, brush, hedges, and even small trees. It has 32 heavy-duty forged steel knives and a 6″ diameter gauge roller. The mower cuts 43.5″ wide and can reach vertically 13.5′. It can also cut 53″ below grade and reach 13.5′ horizontally from the outside tire.

A hydraulic break-back protects the mower from impact, and counterweights and dual rear wheels keep the MT7 stable during operation. The mower can be removed in 10 minutes, and stands are included for easy storage. Switching to another attachment is fast and simple.

Built for Demanding Mowing Tasks

Both flail mowers are tough and purpose-built for municipal work. They are ideal for parks, roadsides, ditches, slopes, and other hard-to-reach places. Whether you’re trimming a path or mowing an embankment, Trackless helps you do it efficiently.

Tackling overgrown spaces doesn’t have to be difficult. With the right tools, it’s just part of your routine.
