Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Technologist to join our dynamic team at Trackless Vehicles. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of mechanical and hydraulic systems for our advanced sidewalk tractors. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance and reliability of our innovative products.
Responsibilities
- New Product Development; designs new vehicle systems and vehicle attachments.
- Continuous Improvement; assists with manufacturing support and field support requirements for current products.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure designs support manufacturing and assembly processes/requirements.
- Utilize CAD software to create high quality assemblies, parts, and drawings
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct product performance testing and benchmarking activities
- Prepare relevant engineering documentation such as ECN’s, test reports, specifications, etc.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Technologist Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software and sheet metal design.
- Good conceptualization skills; able to draw from wide array of design experiences.
- Good understanding in design of hydraulic and hydrostatic vehicle systems.
- Hands-on; able to assemble prototypes and instrument test equipment.
- Effective team member; deals well within the engineering team, with internal stakeholders, and with dealers/customers as required.
Salary Range: $85,000 – $90,000

Mig Welder
Trackless Vehicles designs and manufactures purpose-built municipal tractors and attachments trusted by municipalities, institutions, and organizations worldwide, supporting property and infrastructure maintenance year-round.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated MIG Welder to join our team on a full-time, permeant basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for MIG welding a variety of metal components, fitting parts using fixtures, and preparing and finishing completed work to meet our quality standards.
Trackless Vehicles provides all required welding equipment, safety equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary to safely and effectively perform the duties of the MIG Welder role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding in various positions to accurately join metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine welding requirements, dimensions, and quality standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications.
- Prepare metal components for welding by cleaning, grinding, cutting, shaping, and fitting parts, in accordance with blueprints and job requirements.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Maintain a high standard of quality, workmanship, and attention to detail throughout the welding and fabrication process.
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements, including the proper use of welding helmets, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective equipment.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous MIG welding experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with flat and vertical welding positions is considered an asset.
- Welding certification/tickets are not required but will be considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Ability to safety and effectively operate MIG welding equipment, tools, and related machinery.
- Willingness and ability to learn and quickly adapt to new welding techniques, equipment, products, and processes.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to producing high quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and established production processes.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Industrial Spray Painter

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Painter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying industrial coatings to a variety of products, ensuring consistent coverage, proper coating thickness, and adherence to established quality standards.
Trackless Vehicles provides all required painting equipment, safety equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary to safely and effectively perform the duties of the Industrial Painter role.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply paint, industrial coatings, and other finishes to a variety of products as they move continuously along a production line using spray guns.
- Maintain proper spray technique, coverage, and consistency while keeping pace with the speed of the moving line. Ensure all products receive a smooth, uniform, and high quality finish.
- Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by removing rust, dirt, grease, and other contaminants. Perform preparation methods such as power washing, sanding, sandblasting, or chemical cleaning as required.
- Accurately mix paints, primers, and other coatings according to established specifications and formulas. Adjust mixtures as required to achieve the proper consistency, colour, and finish.
- Continuously monitor products as they move through the production line to identify defects, inconsistencies, or areas requiring additional coverage. Perform touch-ups or reapply coatings as necessary to ensure products meet company and customer quality standards.
- Work closely with production team members to maintain a steady workflow and ensure products are properly coated as they move through the production line. Communicate any quality or production concerns promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Properly use required PPE and follow safe handling procedures when working with paints, coatings, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial painting, or a related field is preferred. Experience painting products on a moving production line is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-focused environment while maintaining consistent quality and keeping pace with a moving line.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify surface imperfections, coating defects, and inconsistencies.
- Ability to safely and effectively operate spray guns, painting equipment, and related tools.
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new painting techniques, equipment, products, and processes.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
