WORK ENVIRONMENT: On-Site at Trackless Vehicles Office (Courtland, Ontario)

TYPE: Full-time permanent: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:30pm; Friday 8am – 3pm

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Accounts Payable and Customs Clerk will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, managing payment schedules, assisting with month-end reconciliations and assisting the traffic team with tariff and other customs details. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment while upholding the high standards of Trackless Vehicles.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable.
  • Familiarity with online banking applications an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and timely payments.
  • Monitor vendor accounts for overdue payments and follow up as required.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal staff regarding account matters.
  • Maintain up to date listing of tariff rates and customs requirements for international shipping of both USMCA and non-USMCA whole goods and parts
  • Provide support to the Controller, finance team, and Customs/Parts teams as needed.
