The Trackless Watering Arm is designed primarily for watering hanging plants but can also be used to water flower beds in remote locations.
A rotary dial switch allows the operator to select how many litres of water they wish to disperse per hanging plant. Setting the switch to 0 will disperse ½ litre, setting 1 – 1 litre, 2 – 2 litres, etc. Setting 9 allows the operator to press and hold the joystick button for continuous flow.
The flexibility of control allows the operator to easily maneuver into position for watering, activate the on/off button on the joystick, and wait for the watering to time out. When the water shuts off, the operator can side shift the watering head back towards the tractor and move on to the next plant, or depending on obstacles, perhaps side shift and rotate the arm to the front of the tractor before moving on.
Impressive to all operators is the ability to move the watering head by way of the main boom, secondary boom, watering head tilt, and side shift, while also being able to rotate the whole boom assembly 180 degrees to water on the left side of the tractor.
To supply the water, either our rear-mounted 80-gallon tank or our 150-gallon stainless tank is required. If the 150-gallon tank is your choice, there are options for spraying brine or other ice control solutions.
